When court ordered, registered sex offenders on parole or probation are typically required to participate in sex-offender treatment programs which at times require a polygraph test. The Containment Model must be utilized: a victim-centered approach requiring close communication and collaboration between parole or probation officers, treatment providers, and the polygraph examiner. These exams are typically multiple issue depending on the request and/or information provided.
